Horizon Academy is a non-traditional High school in the Gainesville City School System in Gainesville, GA. It is one of two high schools in the school system. They have 900 students and consist of grades 9-12. There is not much information on Horizon Academy as it is a new school that has opened. It is located in the old Gym of 36' building.

The purpose of Horizon Academy is to meet the unique needs of students to ensure they successfully graduate high school. Also to see they prepared for the paths they want to take after leaving. Traditional high school may not be a good fit for every student, but every student deserves the opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma and be prepared for life beyond high school.
Horizon Academy is for students who can't attend traditional high schools for many reasons. It allows them to learn at an on-campus site, remotely, or a combination of both.
